Larry Lucas


Larry is a Partner in the Chicago office and brings a rare combination of extensive line management and consulting experience to help his clients drive profitable and sustainable growth. His 24 year diverse U.S and international background includes leadership roles in global brand management, marketing strategy, customer marketing, and sales where he demonstrated a proven ability to establish long-term strategy, build teams, and drive change within organizations.

At Prophet, and previously as a principal at the Zyman Group, Larry has led numerous global client engagements across beverage, food, consumer durables, and multiple industrial sectors. He specializes in building organizational marketing competencies including brand positioning and value proposition development, portfolio management, strategic planning and business plans for activation. Larry has written numerous articles on brand and marketing strategy including how to use economic turbulence to rethink and optimize your business and portfolio.

Prior to joining Prophet, Larry was the Group Brand Director and led the resurgence of the Clairol Herbal Essences® hair/skin care franchise where he was responsible for developing the worldwide brand strategy and identifying the strategic drivers to reach $1 billion in sales. Larry broadened his marketing experience in the international arena where he developed the strategic plan and managed the global expansion for the overall Clairol Hair and Skin Care International portfolio.

Larry graduated summa cum laude from the University of San Francisco with an MBA in marketing.
