Tülin Erdem

Academic Partner

Tülin Erdem is an Academic Partner of Prophet and consults exclusively for our clients. She is currently a Leonard N. Stern Professor of Business and Professor of Marketing at the Stern School of Business, New York University, where she has also served as Director of CeDER, Center for Digital Economy Research. Her research interests include brand management and equity, consumer choice, decision-making under uncertainty, econometric modeling, and pricing.

Before joining Stern in 2006, Tülin was the E.T. Grether Professor of Business Administration and Marketing at the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley. She joined the Haas School of Business in 1993 and also served as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs; Marketing Group Chair; Ph.D. Director at the Haas School of Business; and as the Chair of the campus-wide Committee on Research.

Tülin has published several papers in top field journals and has received best paper awards and major research grants, including two major National Science Foundation (NSF) grants. She is an Area Editor at Marketing Science, Associate Editor at Quantitative Marketing and Economics and Journal of Consumer Research, and serves as an editorial board member at five other marketing journals, including Journal of Marketing Research. Tülin also served as the President of INFORMS Marketing Society (ISMS) and is currently serving as the Past President of ISMS.

She has a BA (Bogaziçi University) and MA in Economics and Ph.D. in Business Administration (University of Alberta).
