Chris is a recognized marketing and brand strategist with two decades of experience working for and consulting to the most senior management within a number of marketing intensive industries. With world-class management consulting credentials paired with several senior operating roles, Chris’ work with clients provides a strong strategic rationale that it is, at the same, actionable and insightful. His areas of expertise include: corporate growth strategy; organic growth strategy; comprehensive marketing strategy development; brand portfolio optimization; customer value creation; and digital branding.
He has deep, global experience in media, publishing, information, communication, and consumer goods industries. Chris’ clients have included: News Corporation, Wolters Kluwer, Young & Rubicam, Microsoft, Compaq, TXU, and General Motors to name a few.
Prior to Prophet, Chris was the founding partner of Helios Consulting Group, a recognized growth strategy boutique in New York and Chicago. He got his start in management consulting at Booz Allen & Hamilton where he worked in the Marketing Intensive Group in New York. Before business school, Chris worked in Sales at RJR Nabisco, in Advertising at Arnold Communications, and in Brand Management at Lever Brothers.
Chris has been published globally with The Infinite Asset: Managing Brands to Create New Value, (Harvard Business School Press, 2001 with Sam Hill), Harvard Business Review on Customer Relationship Management (Harvard Business Review, 2002), and with “See Your Brands Through Your Customer Eyes” which was published by Harvard Business Review (June 2001) in the US and by Harvard Business Manager (May 2002) in Europe. He is an international speaker and is quoted often in the popular press.
Chris received his B.S. in Economics from Washington and Lee University and his MBA in Marketing from Columbia Business School.
