Erik Long

Associate Partner

Erik brings over 10 years of experience in marketing consulting, helping clients develop brand, channel management, and growth strategies through distinctive insights. As a leader of the Marketing Analytics practice at Prophet, he has worked with companies to develop actionable customer insights through segmentation, brand equity modeling, marketing effectiveness, and customer loyalty and choice modeling. While at Prophet, Erik has served clients in retail, financial service, transportation, durable goods, and business-to-business industries, including clients such as Navistar, Yamaha, GE, Payless Shoesource, and BP.

Prior to joining Prophet, Erik was with McKinsey & Company, where he was a customer insights and branding strategy consultant. While at McKinsey, Erik focused on developing brand and business strategies to help companies such as Miller Brewing, Midas, John Deere, and Quaker Oats. Prior to McKinsey, he was with Envision, a brand strategy consulting firm, and also worked with ZS Associates helping pharmaceutical clients with sales force and marketing strategy.

Erik received his M.S. in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Operations Research, and a B.A. in Economics and Industrial Engineering from The University of Michigan.
