Michael has over 15 years experience advising companies on brand strategy, marketing, communications, and strategically-driven design. At Prophet, he has successfully led multiple engagements for Fortune 500 clients and honed an expertise in developing brand portfolio strategies and management systems working with clients including GE, NBC Universal, United Airlines, Dupont, Boeing, Cargill, Sherwin-Williams, Chicago Tribune, Textron, Maytag, CDW, and Sigma Foods, Mexico.
Prior to Prophet, Michael was director of brand strategy for the Scient Corporation where he led engagements with Xcel Energies, Baxter Health, and Ziff Davis Media. Prior to Scient, Michael was a branding consultant for Landor Associates where he integrated global research with strategic and creative developments to produce holistic corporate identity programs for a wide variety of companies including many technology companies.
Michael has guest lectured on brand strategy at various universities and organizations and co-authored an article on brand architecture published in Strategy and Leadership.
Michael holds a B.A. from University of Colorado with concentrations in architecture and business, and he completed graduate studies at Northwestern University where earned an executive business certificate from the Kellogg Management Institute.
