David Aaker Receives Prestigious Marketing Innovation Award

David Aaker, noted authority on brand and marketing, has been named the 2005 recipient of the "Innovative Contributor to Marketing" award by the Marketing Management Association (MMA).

Aaker, Vice Chairman of Prophet, a leading consultancy specializing in integrating business, brand and marketing strategies, will be the keynote speaker at the organization's spring meeting March 16 through 18 in Chicago.

Winners of the prestigious MMA award are recognized because of their significant contributions and creative insights to the marketing discipline and their appreciation for effective teaching practices.

Aaker is the author of 12 books and over 100 articles; his books include the noted Managing Brand Equity which proposed a new and powerful paradigm for marketing thinking and application, and the most recently published Brand Portfolio Strategy.
