Prophet Taps Chris Lederer as New York Partner
NEW YORK (Oct. 9, 2007) -- Chris Lederer, 41, has joined Prophet as a Partner in its New York office. Chris is well-published in the areas of brand and marketing strategy, and has nearly 20 years experience that combines management consulting with senior marketing roles. He spent the last decade as President and founder of Helios Consulting Group, a brand and strategy consultancy in New York.
"Chris further rounds out the depth of thinking we can offer our clients, with expertise in issues ranging from business development to improving organic growth – all with an emphasis of creating value through brands and customers," said Michael Dunn, Prophet’s Chief Executive Officer. "His experience will be important in helping clients navigate the increasingly complex challenges tied to brand, marketing and business strategies."
Lederer co-authored the books: The Infinite Asset: Managing Brands to Build New Value (Harvard Business School Press, 2001), and Harvard Business Review on CRM (HBR, 2002). He has been published by Harvard Business Review in the US (“See Your Brands Through Your Customer Eyes”, June 2001) and by Harvard Business Manager in Europe.
Prior to Helios, Lederer spent four years at Booz-Allen & Hamilton. He also spent time on the client side early in his career at Lever Brothers and RJR/Nabisco and in advertising at Arnold Partners.
Lederer received a BS in Economics from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
