Ian has over 20 years of experience helping companies create and deliver brand and business strategies. Specifically, Ian assists clients with brand development and positioning, brand architecture, product and service innovation, guardianship and engagement.
Ian has comprehensive corporate and consumer branding experience, advising at board-level. He has specific expertise in consumer and business service brands, especially banking, finance, insurance, telecommunications, pharma, technology and professional services.
His work has won multiple awards, most recently a Gold Transform Award and a Gold award from the German Design Council. Ian’s previous clients include Merck KGaA, Bupa, Zurich Insurance, Microsoft, Etisalat, P&G, Hilti, and dnata. Prior to joining Prophet he was Head of Strategy at FutureBrand.
Financial Times has printed articles Ian has written on branding issues - as have Brand Strategy, Precision Marketing, the Institute for Brand Leadership, and Brandchannel.com.
Ian maintains a keen interest in advanced technologies. Having studied for it, Ian went on to lecture at Goldsmiths College on their MA in Interactive Media. He is a strong advocate of the arts, and has served on the boards of the Institute of Contemporary Arts and Fierce Earth Performance Art Festival.
