Simon Myers is a Partner in Prophet’s London office. He brings over 20 years of client-side and consulting experience. Before joining Prophet Simon was the co-founder and CEO of Figtree, a respected brand consultancy with strong creative reputation.
Simon started his career with the BBC World Service before joining the Swire Group in Hong Kong in 2004. He was sent to Beijing where he set up the Carlsberg sales, marketing and distribution operation with local support. After this he was Sales and Marketing Director for Coca-Cola in Henan Province tasked with implementing customer-centred reforms. In 2000, he returned to London on a Chinese motorbike and sidecar where he joined Interbrand and worked across a range of large change programmes for international clients including Orange, Canon, Telia, IBM. Simon set up Figtree with John Holton to provide a more client-centred service and in 8 years has helped many clients particularly in the sustainable energy, NGO, telecoms and wealth management sectors.
He has helped overhaul brand strategies and communications for both commercial (Schneider Electric, Netafim, Orange, HTC, BlackBerry, Better Place) and not-for-profit organizations (Restless Development, Amnesty International, Marie Stopes International).
Influenced by his years in China in the 1990s, Simon is acutely aware of the need for businesses to embrace the sustainable business agenda - as well as grow.Interested in strategic decision-making, use of language in corporate life, he is a published author and regular speaker on brand issues for the press. He speaks French and Mandarin.
