Kara Franey

Director, Coaching and Performance Management

Describe your passion, your expertise, and your way.

My passion is being purposeful, whether at work or at play, being a contributor to making someone’s day more fulfilling, enjoyable, or memorable. My expertise is juggling many things and knowing which one takes priority. My way is thoughtful with a slight hint of sarcasm.

What is your favorite brand?

TiVo. Simple yet complex enough to record what I might like. I love that there is always something good on, and how it instinctively knows when I need drama or a romantic comedy or learning about the secrets behind the CIA.

What did you do prior to Prophet?

I worked for Turner Broadcasting System. I was fortunate to work in a variety of business units (Turner Home Entertainment, Turner Original Productions, TNT, and — my last stop — TBS Superstation). I held positions in marketing, business affairs, public relations, and internal communications. A lifetime ago, I worked for an events management and tourism company, and my first job out of college was managing a corporate health club in Atlanta, Georgia.

What drew you to Prophet?

People who share the same passion for working hard and making a difference.

What has been your most interesting or unique Prophet project thus far?

Being a part of a team that successfully integrated Play into Prophet.
