Alan is a principal in Prophet’s London office. He is an expert in using qualitative and quantitative market research and data analytics to reveal profitable growth opportunities rooted in deep human truths and customer behaviors.

He believes curiosity is the key to those truths, which calls for constantly challenging existing beliefs and poking at assumptions. Don’t be surprised if you hear him quote John Maynard Keynes: “The difficulty lies not so much in developing new ideas, as in escaping old ones.”

Alan uses insights and analytics to help clients unlock strategic challenges that include brand positioning and portfolio management, product innovation and customer acquisition and retention.

Before joining Prophet, Alan worked as a market research consultant for organizations across a range of sectors, including government, financial services, media and entertainment. He is a member of the Market Research Society.

He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of York and is an MSc Economics graduate of the University of London. He’s an avid early-morning runner and cyclist, and when you can’t find him in the hills of Bedfordshire, he’s likely exploring the rugged coastline of West Cork.
