Benjamin Gilgen

Benjamin is a former partner at Prophet, who headed up our Zurich office. He used his extensive experience to help leaders define and align on a future growth path by combining strategic rigour, ambition, creativity and consumer-centric strategies.

By leading national and international client strategy engagements, Benjamin revitalized brands by driving marketing strategy, purpose-based positioning, portfolio optimization and transformation initiatives. In short, he brought to life the magic link between strategic thinking and creative exploration.

As a citizen of both Switzerland and Norway, Benjamin speaks German, French and English and has good understanding of Norwegian. He considers himself a family man, coffee snob and watch nerd.

Prior to joining Prophet, Benjamin was head of the MetaDesign (Publicis) office in Zurich, as well as part of the global management team of six offices. He started his career with Arthur D. Little and was a Co-founder of The Zurich Consulting Company and Romazini fine wine.

Benjamin has led transformation initiatives around the globe and across industries, such as financial institutions, telecommunications, retail, engineering and technology, construction, public administration, publishing, life sciences, healthcare, fashion and the luxury goods industry.

Benjamin studied at the Universities of St. Gallen and Geneva and holds a masters degree in International Management. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of St. Gallen, HWZ, SAWI and Zeppelin University.
