Engagement Manager

The Role
Engagement managers are the backbones of Prophet and hold its project teams together. They lead partners, senior associates, associates and specialists, ensuring that everyone is working together towards the same goal. Engagement managers collaborate with clients, helping them achieve success in their roles while bringing ideas to life. They are both analytical and creative in their approach to solving complex problems and identifying the right solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage all day-to-day aspects of client relationships in brand and marketing strategy space
- Develop content and serve as a thought leader for team and client
- Identify and close new business leads
- Manage engagements with teams of 3-5 people
- Monitor project scope and profitability
- Train and mentor other consultants
- Develop insightful analysis and candid recommendations
- Present analysis and recommendations to client senior management
- Lead firm development initiatives
Qualifications
- Prior consulting experience, ideally five or more years at a leading business or brand strategy consulting firm
- MBA preferred
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence, persuade and ask the tough questions
- Ability to develop a strategy as well as execute the tactical implementation of that strategy
- Prior experience leading teams and enhancing team success through guidance, leadership and active participation in internal and external client project teams
- Passion for brand and consumer-facing issues
- Ability to cultivate existing and new client relationships resulting in the sale of project work
