The Role

The Manager, Sales and Revenue Strategy is responsible for running day-to-day projects, leading problem solving, guiding clients, and managing teams.

Responsibilities

While every day will be different, you can expect to…

  • Lead and drive innovative and high-quality sales transformation, salesforce effectiveness, sales effectiveness, sales operations and revenue generation/management solutions for clients
  • Leverage expertise and tools around Revenue Management, Sales Model Design Strategy, Sales Force Skill Development, Sales Performance Management/Incentives, Sales Tools Enablement, and Sales Performance Analytics
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals (e.g., designers, digital strategists, architects, and researchers) to develop sales and revenue management strategy recommendations for clients
  • Actively lead and participate in problem-solving sessions across a range of topics (brand, digital, growth, marketing, organization & change), relying on both analytical and creative techniques to get to compelling results
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of senior-level client relationships as a strong representative of Prophet
  • Manage Prophet teams to drive superior results and bold, insightful recommendations
  • Ensure great work is delivered, while monitoring project scope and profitability
  • Present ideas and recommendations to senior executives
  • Develop relationships with c-level clients and with thought leaders at the firm
  • Identify and support new business leads
  • Take on a firm leadership role – mentoring more junior staff to develop high performing consultants, advancing IP development efforts, and taking on other roles of interest (marketing, recruiting, etc.) to drive Prophet’s growth

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in management consulting or other relevant services firm
  • Experience and success in consulting delivering sales transformation, revenue management, salesforce effectiveness, sales operations, and sales-led demand generation solutions
  • Experience in field marketing enablement and coordination
  • Experience in developing and leveraging repeatable methodology to assess and solve client challenges
  • Understanding of demand generation, lead management and ABM best practices
  • Deep understanding of digital and emerging channels
  • Ability to input and guide sales plans and strategy for large enterprises
  • Understanding of Sales and Marketing technology stacks and platforms
  • Experience in developing robust customer data approach to drive sales growth
  • Ideally, experience with emerging sales automation, machine learning, and AI technology

  • A proven consultant with solid experience, ideally with a leading business, brand strategy or digital strategy consulting firm
  • A smart thinker with superior problem-solving skills, well-developed research and analytic capabilities, and creative thinking expertise
  • A big thinker with a dose of pragmatism who has the ability to develop a strategy as well as bring it to life through tactical implementation
  • A curious thinker with an unrelenting commitment to get to the answer, to test new approaches and push others’ assumptions
  • A nimble thinker who embraces ambiguity, can navigate murky problems with no clear solution and drive the team to clear and impactful outcomes
  • A persuasive communicator with demonstrated success moving mountains
  • A respected leader with experience managing teams who drives success through guidance, leadership, and active participation on internal and external client project initiatives
  • A business builder with an ability to cultivate existing and new client relationships to drive commercial success for the firm
