Former CCO at Libbey brings expertise in growth, innovation and strategy to Prophet

CHICAGO, IL – Prophet, a global brand and marketing consultancy, hired Tony Gardner as senior partner. With 25 years of experience in both industry and consulting, Gardner has a track record of creating successful strategies that drive accelerated growth for brands.

Most recently, Gardner served as chief commercial officer at Libbey, the largest glassware company in America. During his tenure, he led the revitalization and growth of the brand and transformed its commercial efforts globally. Prior to Libbey, he worked as the chief commercial officer at Owens Illinois, a Fortune 500 company that specializes in container glass products. Before making his move to the C-suite, Gardner was a partner at Accenture, where he was a leader in its growth strategy and innovation practices across all sectors. Prior to consulting, Gardner had management roles in with Procter & Gamble, IBM and General Electric.

At Prophet, Gardner will focus on helping clients achieve their growth acceleration goals by uncovering key consumer insights and building an integrated business plan that will generate success in both the short- and long-term.
