Dan is an Associate Partner in Prophet’s Chicago office. He lives at the intersection of brand, digital and innovation and has partnered with leading brands to grow and thrive for nearly two decades. His experience as a CMO, entrepreneur and consultant give him a fresh perspective and a multidisciplinary approach to creating new-to-the-world business models and brands strategies for a wide range of industries including automotive, energy, financial services, retail, business-to-business, and nonprofit foundations.
Before bringing his creativity to Prophet, Dan was the CMO of Reacht, an ad tech start-up that delivered highly targeted, interactive ads for radio and audio media platforms. He was also the founder and CEO of Citizen Effect, one of the first crowdfunding platforms for nonprofits. At the start of his career, he was an innovation and brand strategy consultant, working with Fortune 500 clients, including Chevron, Genworth Financial, Mitsubishi Motors, Visa and NASA, to name a few. Dan also crafted creative solutions for social enterprises, building market-driven strategies for Asia Initiatives, Aspen Institute, the Clinton Foundation, Center for American Progress, Forest Trends, Food Tank, Verb and others.
Dan has brought his insights to a vast audience through speaking engagements with the AMA, Clinton Global Initiative, Edelman’s New Academic Summit, Harvard’s Social Enterprise Conference, Kellogg School of Management, TEDxSJU, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, University of Notre Dame, National Association of Broadcasters, and Nikkei. His articles include “Leveraging Online Activity Into Offline Action” (Huffington Post); “Brand Architecture: Building Portfolio Value” (Strategy & Leadership); and “The Six Biggest Pitfalls in B-to-B Branding” (Business 2 Business Insider).
